The Expositors Collective is a network of pastors, leaders, and laypeople which exists to equip, encourage, and mentor the next generation of Christ-centered preachers. ⁠

What to expect:⁠
In this interactive training weekend, attendees will hear insightful lectures, participate in Q&A panels, meet in small groups with a seasoned mentor, build ongoing relationships, and participate in a studying/teaching practicum.⁠

Christ-following men and women of all ages, ministry experience, and church backgrounds who are students of Scripture and desire to grow as teachers of the Word.⁠ Whether you’re a regular Bible teacher or have never taught the Bible in a public setting before, this training weekend offers invaluable tools to equip you in your journey.

Day 1

Check-in begins at 5:30 pm.
The first session begins at 6:00 pm and continues until 9:00 pm with brief lectures, interactive group assignments, and panel discussions.

Day 2

The second session begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm.

GROUP LEADERS

Mike Neglia

Mike Neglia is the lead pastor at Calvary Cork, having moved to Ireland from Fallbrook, California, in 2003. In addition to discipling others and teaching weekly as the lead pastor, Mike is pursuing a master’s degree at Western Seminary, and hosts the Expositors Collective podcast with weekly episodes designed to equip and edify Bible teachers of all walks of life.
Mike is married to Rachel, and along with their children, enjoy exploring the City of Cork and earning the coveted "customer of the month" title at their local coffee shop. Follow Mike on Twitter and Instagram: @mikeneglia.

Brian Kelly

Brian Kelly is the lead Pastor at WestChurch. Brian and his wife Lynne moved to West Bradenton from New Zealand in 2021. The Kelly family has worked on the mission field and planted Churches in Uganda and the United States over the past twenty years.

Dr. Alan Stoddard

Dr. Alan Stoddard serves as the lead pastor of Imagine Church in Granbury, Texas, having previously pastored churches in both Texas and New Mexico. He is a graduate of Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, where his doctoral work focused on “Reinforcing Expository Preaching with Sermon-based Small Groups.”

Since 2023, Alan has also been part of the Expositors Collective leadership team, contributing to the training and development of preachers across a range of contexts.

Dr. John Whittaker

John Whittaker is a preacher, teacher, and pastor. He holds theology and ministry degrees from Boise Bible College, Cincinnati Bible Seminary, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. John has been serving in ministry for 30 years. He has served as Professor of Preaching and New Testament at Boise Bible College for 19 years. He has also helped plant a church in Kuna, Idaho, where he preached for 11 years; served for 4 years as one of the teaching and campus pastors at The Pursuit; taught classes for Eternity Bible College; and preached in various places around the country and the world. He is the founder of the Bible in Life online discipleship ministry at johnwhittaker.net

When he is not preaching or teaching, you can find John at a local coffee shop meeting with and encouraging other local ministers; hanging out at home with wife and partner in ministry, Louise, his closest friend for 30 years; or throwing a ball to his dogs.

Cody King

Cody primarily serves to oversee the Men’s Ministry and Calvary International Training Institute at Reliance Church. He also assists the pastoral team with discipleship, counseling, pastoral care, and teaching and preaching. Cody became a Christian in his Sr year of High School in 1997 at an Acquire The Fire youth conference in Phoenix Arizona. On the same day he was saved by Jesus, he felt called to dedicate his life to ministry and has been answering that call ever since.
Cody is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible College with an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Theology. He is passionate about expository preaching and teaching as a primary way of establishing and developing people in the word of God. When people understand who God is and what God thinks through the Bible, true life transformation happens. Cody also has a heart for church planting, being one of the founding pastors of Reliance Church in 2007, and the founding and lead pastor of Redemption Calvary in Commerce City, Colorado from 2014-2022. He has also helped establish and strengthen other church planters and their churches over the years.
Cody and his wife Myca were married in 2002 and have four daughters together.

Dr. Danny Hyde

Danny Hyde has been the founding pastor of the Oceanside United Reformed Church in Carlsbad/Oceanside, California, since 2000. Danny defended his Ph.D. at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on “Public Worship as Manifestation of a New Age of Theo-Politics in the Theology of John Owen." He has taught at various seminaries and written over 20 books including his latest, A Christian’s Pocket Guide to the Presence of God (Christian Focus)—endorsed by Expositors Collective’s own, Mike Neglia! Dr. Bob Franquiz

Dr. Bob Franquiz (Ph.D., Liberty University) is the Founding and Senior Pastor of Calvary Fellowship in Miramar, FL. Bob is also the author of seven books, including Pull: Making Your Church Magnetic and Begin: First Steps for the Journey of Faith. Before entering Pastoral ministry, Bob played guitar for Christian Hardcore band Strongarm, a band that has been called one of the best Christian Metal bands of all time.

Prior to planting Calvary Fellowship, Bob served as an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, one of the largest churches in the U.S. Bob also holds a Ph.D. in Bible Exposition from Liberty University and a master’s degree in theological studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Most importantly, Bob considers his most significant achievement to be marrying his “just out of high school” sweetheart, Carey, in 1997. Together, they have three beautiful children, Mia, Alexander, and Olivia.

Bryan Stupar

Bryan Stupar was born in 1970 and raised in the surf culture of Huntington Beach, California. He came to faith in Jesus at 16 and married his best friend, Sherry, in 1991.
At 23, he moved to San Luis Obispo on California’s Central Coast to plant Calvary SLO Church, which has grown into an influential ministry with a strong emphasis on church planting and missions.
Bryan serves on the leadership team of Expositors Collective and, since 2023, has been travelling across the United States investing in and equipping preachers.
He is the father of two daughters, Brianna and Brooke, and enjoys time with his family, photography, coffee shops, and the surf.

Danny Ramos

Danny has served in various ministries and churches across Southern California for more than 3 decades. He is a faithful shepherd with a heart to equip, encourage, and edify the next generation.
Danny currently serves as a pastor at Maranatha Chapel in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

Pilgrim Benham

Pilgrim Benham has planted churches and pastored since 2002. He is the Dean of Students at CCBC, an instructor, and on the pastoral team at WestChurch in Bradenton, Florida. Pilgrim loves equipping the saints and also does sermon coaching when not enjoying Florida’s beaches.
